Updates/News --J. Leonhardt

Hi everyone! Hope this finds you all well. We are fast approaching the fall season, which I am fairly sure that all of us will be happy to see. I know I will be!

I will say though, that with September, comes my "busy" season all the way through until February. Just a fair warning, that I will not be quite as active in the group as I would like to be. I'll list out what all I have coming up so everyone has an idea why. Consider this my apology for not being on here as often:
September
  • Mabon
  • Pagan Pride Day
  • Apple Festival
  • Corn Maze--possibly
October
  • Cotton Gining Days
  • Rennaisance Festival
  • Halloween/Samhain
  • Any various tractor pulls/shows that the hubs decides to go to
  • Halloween Trunk or Treat--see information below
November
  • The hubby's, son's and my birthday (all in a matter of 13 days), which means shopping, planning a 3 year old's b-day party and a b-day dinner for the hunny
  • Thanksgiving--I usually go all out for this one :D
  • Possibly Black Friday shopping
December
  • Yule
  • X-mas with family
  • New Years Eve (which is also hubs and I's anniversary--7 years whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!)
  • More shopping
January
  • Doing taxes--yes I do my own
February
  • Imbolc
  • Valentine's Day
Ok, so I am tired after writing that list...whew! After Valentine's Day I get to sit down and have my "break", but seriously I wouldn't have it any other way! I love the fall and all that comes with it.

This Mabon marks a special day for me as well; 10 wonderful, happy, blessed years since I heard the Goddess' calling. I do hope to plan a little ceremony (perhaps a re-dedication) for myself too!
Also a few reminders for everyone:
  • The recipe blog needs your help! Send recipes to me personally through FaceBook, or email them to me at southernwicca@yahoo.com. I will get them posted as soon as I recieve them in most cases.
  • Anyone can write blog posts for the site. We would all love to hear from everyone, so if you feel like writing, please do post one here.
  • As for Halloween/Samhain, I am still needing volunteers to help plan for the Trunk-or-Treat. If this idea falls through, I do have alternate plans for my family at least.
  • The forums are always open; anyone that has questions, ask away there!
  • I am going to try my best to keep doing a monthly chat, even though I will be busy. Its the least I can do for everyone. We had an awesome turn-out for July! I need everyone's opinions for a date and topic this month, so let me or another administrator know please. I know that many members have kids going/gone back to school so I know that we are all pressed for time, so if there is ever any problems and you can't attend, I won't be offended.
  • I have a VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE planned in the near future, so look for announcements! ;) Please do show some love to Butterflimoon/M. Henry for her help in making this surprise possible!

I truly hope that everyone has had an awesome summer and continues to have a wonderful autumn and winter.

Blessings,
J. Leonhardt
