15 Little Tips for Living Better...--J. Leonhardt

  1. If you are a chronic procrastinator--think about what needs to be done. Any of the tasks that take 3 minutes or less, do them NOW!
  2. Make a to-do list in the mornings. Set up a reward system for yourself; if you finish most or all of the list, treat yourself to a little something.
  3. Take 3-5 minutes everyday to just breathe and be quiet and still. If you can't find time any other way, do it while your in the bathroom!
  4. Treat yourself to one indulgence a week. Be it food, dessert, sex, shopping or just watching the sunset with a glass of wine, you deserve it!
  5. Hug someone every day! It doesn't matter if its your spouse, partner, children, friends or pets, hug them and mean it!
  6. Say "I love you" everyday, even if its only while looking in the mirror at yourself.
  7. When you are mad, breathe and then smile, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes.
  8. Contact the Divine everyday, it can be prayer, meditation or just a small conversation, but do it!
  9. Turn your phone on silent or vibrate after a certain time each day. Only take phone calls/messages that are of the utmost importance.
  10. If you have kids or pets, set aside time to play with them, and enjoy being a child yourself.
  11. Don't be afraid to get messy!
  12. Sing for no reason except to just do it, yes, shower singing counts ;)
  13. Not everything has to be done in one day. Do what you can, the rest will still be there tomorrow.
  14. Leave work at work. Unless you have some sort of project you have to work on at home, once you see your front door forget about what happened there!
  15. Laugh often, love much and make memories!
